International Women's Day is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world. At OGL, we are proud to have a community of women who are making a difference in their respective fields. In this blog post, we highlight the stories of four amazing women from the OGL community who are leaders in their industries.

In the spirit of the International Women's Day, we had the opportunity to speak with four amazing women from our community who are making waves in their respective fields. Here are some of the insights they shared with us.

Interview with Alexandra @alexandragraceee

Q: Who are you? What do you do for a living?
A: Hello hello! My name is Alexandra and I currently live in Cincinnati, Ohio with my husband, 5 month old daughter and cat. I’ve grown up all over the world, which sparked my love of aviation. I’m currently pursing the long path to get my pilot’s license, while raising my daughter and, God willing, future children.

Q: Why do you think it's important to celebrate International Women's Day?
A: I think it’s important for women to support women, and International Women’s Day provides an outlet for that.

Q: Is there a woman that inspires you? Why?
A: I’ve always been in awe of the timeless actress Audrey Hepburn, and how she gracefully carried herself through life. But I’m the most inspired by both my mother and mother-in-law. Both women have shown strength, gentleness and love through their life experiences, positive and negative ones, and I admire that immensely.

Q: What can we as women do to support each other?
A: If we are women can encourage one another, building each other up by being there for each other in all seasons of life, we would feel confident in who we are. I use my Instagram account as a way to bring light to the small corner of the internet where my page exists, but I specifically welcome women on there. I want the ladies who come across my page to feel welcome enough to message me about anything and everything. I want each women to feel seen, as the beautiful individual she is.

Q: How do you feel when you're wearing OGL?
A: I only recently discovered OGL, but have quickly grown to love them. It’s very important to me to wear sustainable clothes, so I feel empowered when wearing OGL. I have several items from this brown, but my favorite is this ribbed, brown long sleeve crop top. Being five months postpartum, my body looks and feels different than it used it, which has been difficult to come to terms with. But when I wear this top, I feel confident. I’ve told myself I can still wear a crop top after giving birth because my body has literally grown a whole human and that’s incredible. I haven’t found any crop tops that give me the same confidence that this one from OGL has. So thank you OGL. I appreciate you more than I can express in this little interview.

Interview with Elizabeth @lizzie_cui

Q: Who are you? What do you do for a living?
A: My name is Elizabeth Roussel, I am based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a mom to a beautiful 14 month old baby and I’m a clinical psychology student and Olympic Diver.

Q: Why do you think it's important to celebrate International Women's Day?
A: It’s important to have a day to celebrate women because often we are overlooked. After becoming a mother, I found a new appreciation for all the women around me and for myself. Women are the most impressive, powerful and courageous people I know and we deserve to be celebrated.

Q: Is there a woman that inspires you? Why?
A: I look up to my mother and mother in law. These two woman posses different attributes which I admire greatly. My mother is strong, passionate and relentless in her goals. My mother in law is nurturing, loving and wholesome. Both women are selfless beyond all else.

Q: What can we as women do to support each other?
A: Remembering we’re on the same team. I love to see woman build each other up and support one another. We have to remember that we are the role models for the young girls in our communities and how we act toward each other sets the tone for the next generations.

Q: How do you feel when you're wearing OGL?
A: I love OGL and their loving intentions toward the planet and woman. The clothes are so comfortable and flattering that you can wear them with anything and anywhere. I feel confident in my own skin in OGL.

Interview with Reese @reese_gamez

Q: Who are you? What do you do for a living?
A: Hi, my name is reese gamez! I’m a college student and small business owner based in southern California.

Q: Why do you think it's important to celebrate International Women's Day?
A: I think that it’s important to celebrate national women’s day because women deserve to be honored and appreciated.

Q: Is there a woman that inspires you? Why?
A: I admire @amandakloots because she radiates happiness and positivity even through her hardest moments.

Q: What can we as women do to support each other?
A: As women, it’s important that we support one another. we can lift up women by championing them in their daily lives and by letting them know they are loved and valued.

Q: How do you feel when you're wearing OGL?
A: I feel confident and comfortable when I wear OGL. I feel empowered when wearing OGL, because I know that this company genuinely cares about their customers and the environment.

Interview with Taylor @taylorsometimes

Q: Who are you? What do you do for a living?
A: My name is Taylor, and I’m a former journalist turned content creator. I started this journey with a special interest in helping women find their greatest potential, and a large part of my community are domestic abuse survivors. I work hard to provide an outlet for positive inspiration and just overall good vibes.

Q: Why do you think it's important to celebrate International Women's Day?
A: It’s important to remember how far we’ve came in such a short amount of time. In terms of history, women have more opportunities than ever, and we should celebrate every year we get closer to being an active voice in society.

Q: Is there a woman that inspires you? Why?
A: There are certain women growing up that held their own in a very small rural Texas town - and they showed me that I can carve my own path. I had teachers and mentors that believed in me, and they never let me even consider that I couldn’t do something because of my gender.

Q: What can we as women do to support each other?
A: Stop being so hateful and stop being so jealous to each other. Girls - we are our own worse enemies. We are strong enough to lift each other - so never turn down the opportunity to make our community stronger. Let people live and focus on yourself. You’ll be surprised by how much better your life gets when you stop being bitter about the gifts the universe gave you.

Q: How do you feel when you're wearing OGL?
A: When I’m wearing OGL, I feel sooo confident. Their high quality products really accents my curves and make me feel great! They are so soft, and I love how sustainable the brand is.
